Skylark is registered as an Ensign 23 believed to have been manufactured by Stourport Boat builders in the mid 1970s. It was originally Orange gel coat but this has been overpainted in the past a dark blue and then recently white.
Skylark has been completely restored inside and out including out of the water with bottom scraped and new anti fouling applied. The outboard serviced with new timing belt etc.Have a look at the photographic record of the restoration for details. Over a 1000 hours and thousands of pounds spent to date.
Skylark is a strong GRP construction, 23' long 6' 10" wide with a draft of 1' 6". Powered by a Honda 9.9hp 4 stroke petrol outboard.
Skylark is ready to be used. Sleeps 4 people with either 2 double beds or 1 double and 2 singles. It has a toilet compartment, cooker and grill, Diesel Air heater, Solar panels, Inverter for 240v, Separate leisure battery. Cabin fully insulated and paneled out. Plenty of storage under the seats. A special drawer to drop an insulated box into.
It has just had a new BSC that takes it through to 30th June 2028! It is currently moored in a lovely spot on the Shropshire Union canal where you can cruise about 25 miles with out going through a lock. The mooring has lovely community of boat owners and some live aboards. It is about 5 minutes drive from Woodseaves.
The current mooring is paid up to 31st December 2024 and should be available going forward if required. This could be included depending on agreed price.
